Heads up, makers: Using the phrase ‘GPT’— which stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer — may soon be off-limits when it comes to naming ChatGPT-powered products.
OpenAI last month asked the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) to pretty please hurry things up with the GPT trademark application they submitted in December last year, on account of the “myriad infringements and counterfeit apps” being launched on the daily.
The Pulse power-up
Let's be real.
Nobody's got time to scroll through endless lists of products on the daily, trying to keep up with the endless cycle of innovation.
That's where The Pulse comes in.
It’s a new mobile app feature designed to showcase and resurface the previous week's hottest products.
The fun part? By keeping your finger on the metaphorical product pulse, you'll also have a say in who wins the new Product of the Month award.
Wait, what is "The Pulse"? Atop the homepage of Product Hunt’s mobile app, you’ll now see The Pulse banner. This banner clicks into a stories-type module, which displays the top products from the previous week.
Why should you care? Using The Pulse, you can catch up on the top launches you might’ve missed last week; upvote products to win Product of the Month; and support makers with continued exposure and traction, post-launch.
If you haven’t already, download Product Hunt’s mobile app to start upvoting the best of the best today.
We asked 34 customers what Viktor does for them. Not one said chatbot.

They kept using words like colleague, coworker, team member. One CEO called it the glue holding their e-commerce business together, which is a lot, but also… you see why. It lives in Slack and plugs into 3,000+ tools, so instead of jumping between tabs, you just ask for the thing. Pull Stripe against HubSpot, check Sentry alerts, spin up a campaign brief, build a landing page, send a report upstairs. It all happens there.
It has already hit top 5 on Product Hunt with 130 comments, is SOC 2 certified, and your data does not train models. One user said it was the first time AI felt like a real coworker, which is either exciting or slightly concerning depending on your week.
