Had an interesting chat with investor about AI taking over creative stuff. He shared a poem his daughter wrote for him and wondered, could AI write something just as personal in 10 years? And think about videos and reels made just for you by AI. What's your take on this? Will AI change what we watch and read soon?

Things will become artisan. Ai will help but not be fully generated. Take Ikea for example, you can buy flat pack (which is AI in this example) yet many people, myself included would rather buy bespoke and then there are commissioned pieces.

Ai will just end up cheapening things like mass automation has done in he furniture industry. That being said, mass AI generated movies will have rubbish story lines......aka the fast and furious 420th movie, you cannot beat the human touch/originality - the present set of ai cannot create originality. Ai will still just inspire and generate really cool graphics.

My opinion - who knows, it would have to be sentient at that point and that is another discussion. A human is inspired by things seen and heard, it is only inspired by wha it is trained on, brining the point round to it would have to be sentient.

@genki_asano AI content edited by humans - sure. But in my opinion the future will be all about attribution.Failing to mark AI as first-draft author or author is going to be seen in the same light as plagiarism… as it should.

@jamin_nanthan I saw a while back, a German artist Boris Eldagsen, won a Sony world photography award using AI to generate the image. He then refused it. Perhaps he was trying to make a point but the image still won. It will definitely replace product photography in my humble opinion but not creative writing or film.

I don't think so, you still need a huge dataset to create derivative work using AI. They don't have a creative mind of their own. Also, many companies would discourage or completely prohibit the use of AI to generate post or videos on their platform.

@zignis agree! At least for the next few years, it's going to be challenging to make a network behave like a real person with its strong views. However, maybe it's a matter of using the right prompts, and networks would be able to mimic like in the "Chinese Room"
