Let ask this to chatGPT :) "ChatGPT and other AI language models have the potential to augment and assist human customer support agents, but it is unlikely that they will fully replace human customer support in the near future. While AI language models can provide quick and accurate answers to simple and straightforward questions, they still face limitations in handling complex and nuanced inquiries that require empathy, emotional intelligence, and human judgment. Additionally, AI language models may not always have access to the most up-to-date information, and may not be able to accurately address all customer concerns. As a result, it is likely that AI language models will continue to be used in conjunction with human customer support agents, providing support and assistance, but not fully replacing the human element of customer support." :P

@abhishek_ambad CS builds trusts with clients. Chatbots lack the initiative to meet clients demands and people want to talk to people when there's an issue.

Automation and AI promise to revolutionize the way many people work. Chat Gpt has all the signs of being a technological game-changer. A chatbot powered by machine learning and vast amounts of data, it interacts with users in an incredibly realistic way. But this OpenAI-created model does much more than just carry on virtual conversations. It can generate content like poems or term papers, debug code, answer queries, and more. But will ChatGPT take your job? Machine learning and artificial intelligence are still in their infancy, and you’ll (hopefully) be long since retired before the machines come for your job. And before that happens, the power of tools like ChatGPT will allow you to perform your role with much greater efficiency and effectiveness.

I believe ChatGPT can easily replace Tier 1 Support. But I doubt it will fully replace Tier 2 and above (specific detailed support level)

In case of repetitive service, yes. But for personalized support, still human support is needed. So I would say ChatGPT(and other GPT-based tools) will make more efficient CS, won't replace completely anytime soon.

Absolutely, my estimates 1-2 years max.

We’re implementing ChatGPT for tier 1 support. If someone needs real help that conversation moves to me. It’s perfect as a starting place.

While ChatGPT has the potential to greatly enhance and streamline customer support processes, I don't think it will completely replace human customer support representatives in the near future. While ChatGPT can handle a wide range of customer inquiries and provide quick and accurate responses, there are still many situations where human empathy, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills are needed to provide the best possible customer experience. Additionally, the use of ChatGPT should be thoughtfully integrated into the overall customer support strategy, taking into account the unique needs and preferences of different customers. I think ChatGPT will continue to play an important role in customer support, but it will likely complement and enhance human support rather than replace it entirely.

No way! I think people are already tired and annoyed by automatic customer supports - the direction of current movements says to me that it will be only a bigger need for a real humans in order to build a trust and loyalty of a customer ✌✨ Curious to hear your opinion?

chatGPT cannot replace customer support, but it can greatly simplify the work of the after-sales service. With a good configuration (finetuning) to answer questions in a factual and precise way in order to transmit to support only specific and complex cases.

I believe it'll replace a % of simple & repetitive CS tasks. Hence it won't replace customer support operators but rather make their life better, helping them to focus on more complex/advanced support tasks. It might mean that there will be a need for less customer support people, but I doubt they'll ever disappear.

I don't think ChatGPT will completely replace customer support, but it definitely has the potential to greatly enhance and streamline the support process I am launching a chatGPT tool for ecommerce marketers this week. Would love to have your feedback
