Why did MySpace fail? What is the main reason in your opinion?

MySpace was my favorite social media, but things have changed... in my opinion, it should have been the social network strictly for people in the music industry... but they decided to expand their audience and that was one of the big mistakes. I write and produce music as a hobby and it was a great chance for me to communicate and collaborate with musicians from all over the world. But something went wrong... What do you think?

I definitely agree with you. I think it was better to stay with a specific audience for MySpace

I agree with you the big problem is that they wanted too much to generalize the audience, to the detriment of the main target (the music industry). suddenly they dispersed and no longer innovate for the good of real users
Did MySpace fail? I do not agree with that. I think it just stopped being on fashion because it allowed too many customizations to users. Facebook's was attractive because it was simpler.
