What would you expect from a digital, self-guided city guide app?

Again and again I come across different expectations of an app that offers interactive city guides made by the community itself. What would you expect as tour-creator and what as a user?

I would expect more refined location data. For example, Google maps is terrible when it comes to finding specific buildings on a street, because some times, multiple buildings share an address.

@richard_gao2 thanks for the input! This is really one of the weaknesses of google maps. A workaround that works quite well for us is to use the GPS data instead of addresses.
As a frequent traveller, I would expect a digital, self-guided city guide app to be easy to use and navigate, with clear and accurate information about the city and its attractions. I would want the app to provide maps, directions, and recommendations for things to see and do, as well as information about local restaurants and shops.
I would also expect the app to have a variety of features that allow me to customize my experience and create a personalized itinerary. This might include the ability to filter attractions by category (e.g. museums, parks, landmarks), save favorites, and create a list of must-see places.
Additionally, I would hope for the app to have a social aspect, allowing me to connect with other travellers and share recommendations or reviews. This could be through a forum or chat feature, or by linking to social media accounts.
Overall, a digital, self-guided city guide app should make it easy for me to explore a new city on my own terms and have an enjoyable and memorable trip.
