Just wanted to know that in order to build a pool of users who stick to the brand in the longer run, what should be done more, short form content being viral and addictive or content marketing adding value to the users' lives. Would be phenomenal if I get to know your views. Cheers!

I think the source of the user is not so relevant to keep users in the time.. I think is more related with the experience that the users have with your brand and product/service If it's a SaaS, achieve the AHA momments and give them a successful onboard If it's a Service, solve the problems of your customers. With this, you have more chance to keep long term users. Our first customer came almost 5 years ago, and is still feel happy with us 🙂

While the medium is important, I think you need to take several steps back and ask yourself if you're truly providing value and authenticity. It's "easy" to crank out content every week but, at this point, it's on the verge of worthless if it's not authentic. I'd much rather read a 100 word post or watch a 10 minute video about something honest and value forward, then watch another dumb reel or skim through an SEO optimized 1,500 word blog post. Another question to ask yourself is: what do you want the long-term effects of your content to be? For instance, short form content (specifically referring to reels, TikToks, shorts, etc.) is devastating our attention spans and dopamine levels; we're more unmotivated and lacking in attention than ever before. If you're a profit forward person/company, then it doesn't really matter because you can hop on the next trend to stay lucrative. If not, then there's more thought that needs to go into how you progress. It's hard to balance all of that with trying to run a successful business/side hustle/etc. I certainly don't know the "right" answer or path, but we should still consider these aspects when trying to scale, grow user retention, and so on! :)

As a brand, you may need both. Choose which one brings more reach to your brand and do that 75% and do the other 25%
