Also, validating that your product is a fit for a launch. I would love to know the process to be better at it!

You can try to ask questions on product hunt to validate your assumption. You can also try to outreach influencers in your niche and ask them for feedback about your idea. I personally like to use LinkedIn hashtag feeds to find this kind of person: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/ha...

1 - Create a simple website, 1-2 pages, with photos/mock-screenshots of your product/app and main feature. 2 - Set up Google Analytics on your site so you can track the pages Users visit. 3 - List the info and price for your product on your main page, and include a 'Buy Now' or 'Sign Up Now' button that takes Users to a page where you explain the product is not yet available...here you can also include a field for Users to enter their email address so you can contact them if/when you do launch the product. 4 - Use Google Ads to test keywords to drive Users to your site. See how many hits you can get to your site, and how many Users click the 'Buy Now' button, and that should give you an idea on if it would be worth your time continuing to create it.

I think talking with your target customers is one of the best ways to validate your idea. Because some times we think our idea can help improve things but in the real world things might be different than we imagined. So learning from your target customers (survey, 1on, etc) would help you to go in the right direction
