What's the difference between e-commerce and drop-shipping? Which one is best?

Drop-shipping : You don't own what you sell, you show the client the product, he buys it from you, then you take the money and go buy the product! I wouldn't recommend it! E-commerce : in E-commerce, you do own what you're selling, you first buy products that would sell and then list them for sale!
