What's next for project management tools?

We have used some kind of project management tools in some form/shape at one point. But most of these tools are pretty much similar and don't offer distinctively unique features but rather just a somewhat different UI for the exact same features. Some of these tools offer extra features within one single product! I would like to know your opinion on: ❓ What could project management tools do better? ❓ What kind of new features you would like to see in project management space? ❓ What are some of your absolute favourites from your project management tool(s)?

For me, it would have to be JIra every day of the week, but ye, there can be things added/ improved for sure. For me, reporting would be one aspect. Having the ability to create dynamic reports without have to use add ons like EazyBI is something much desired.

@majidhassan I agree. Reporting in those tools has always been nothing but mediocre to say the least. More detailed and dynamic report generation as well as better system wide logs and more granular access control are the things that I believe would give any tool the edge in current market!

@salim_boudi Thank you so much for sharing. I took a quick look and the feature set is impressive. I surely didn't know this existed. But I think it still doesn't have the custom reporting feature. I'm hoping that's something to look for in the future. Overall, such an intuitive product 👏

@arximughal You're welcome Muhammad 🙌, glad you found it good 👍 May I ask you what do you mean exactly by custom reporting feature?

@salim_boudi most of the tools offer pretty standard reports on the data which resemble in nature. By custom reporting, I mean, having the ability to create and fetch custom reports from the data and keep them bookmarked for later use. It gives more of a granular control but could be useful in audit especially. I hope this makes sense.
