What motivates you more at work, the money or the cause? (Poll)

There is multiple research trying to figure out which one is more motivating at work. For me, the most interesting finding was that both of them can be the main reasons, but they influence each other. That means if the cause is the main reason, even if they get less money than in a normal position, it still captures attention about the cause, so it's better if it operates on a voluntary basis. However, if people only do the job for money, then salary increases and bonuses bring significant changes to work morale. Personally, the cause has always been more motivational for me. Knowing that what I'm working for makes a positive impact. How about you? ☺️

I think that the cause is really important. You can get the money, but if you don't see any value in your work, you will be less eager to grow in the field and help your company grow. But still, erasing money as a factor is strange, because money covers our basic needs and, in a way, shows us our level as specialists. Work for the cause with minimal payment can only go so far 🤷‍♂️

I have realised that the cause is more important to me than money. Life is so short and it's important to have a drive and something that's important to you!

For me, it's the cause that truly drives my motivation at work; knowing that my efforts contribute to something meaningful makes all the difference. However, I can't deny that a fair compensation is also essential, as it acknowledges the value of my work and dedication.
