What is your sales motto?

I'm a noob in Sales. How do you make your sales? What's that 1 motto you always follow when you're handling a customer?

My motto is more of a sequence: 1. Know your product inside-out 2. Establish rapport through asking good questions, and actively listening (pay attention to their pain points, aspirations, etc.) - People often like to talk about themselves so this should be easy 3. If you already have step 1 down, it will be easy to rehash and adopt your sales pitch on the spot in a way that caters to that specific customer (addressing how it solves their pain, or helps them reach their aspirations, etc.) If you were extra attentive, you'll even know how to adopt your body language and way of speaking to match theirs (people like those who seem familiar or similar to them). In short, everyone is different. You just have to know how to hit that right spot that does it for them.

@rockyperezz I've also been given the advice that what people regard as a good conversation is a convo in which they have talked the most. Thanks for the tip!

My motto is: Even the best product will not sell itself. It's better to have good marketing and an average product than vice versa. So marketing, marketing and more marketing!
