Link building. Time-consuming, and doesn't always work as expected.

@sergey_kornilov1 Link building is a tricky thing. It's generally a better ROI on your time to build topical authority and expand your internal linking than doing things like outreach. Also, if you're trying to rank a commercial-intent piece, you can create informational content that's easier to rank and funnel traffic to your commercial page.

Writing content and overlapping keywords.

@ushercakes There's a lot of AI-based tools popping up to help with writing these days. As for keyword density, I focus on optimising the meta data, H1, first paragraph and H2s and usually leave the body text pretty natural.

Personally, building the tech side of the conversion pipeline from SEO is painstaking. It's not very well understood and has a lot of dependencies, so, it would take time for anyone to get started. A lot of SEO is just common sense, but, building a new website from scratch requires a tonne of tech know-how and some core principles that are not really intuitive (folder structure, topic clusters, etc)
Hoz
@uttiya_roy Indeed. There's a lot of dependencies, and that brings complexity. The only real way through this hurdle is education, and that brings about its own issues: there's lots of content online but piecemeal-learning doesn't lead to a solid skill. WriterZen figured this out from analysing their user-behaviour and discovered that, generally, most used only a small percentage of the tools capability. The most likely reason: not fully understanding SEO. This was the reason for building the WriterZen Academy. Once you get the foundation down, the complex issues are easier to tackle as the logic behind them 'makes sense' when you understand what things are affected (ie the dependencies).

@theycallmehoz Definitely, a slight bit of architectural and programming knowledge can be a game changer for growth, love what you're doing with Writezen

For me, it's always a big question the SPA application can perform the same good results in SEO then a simple WordPress site?
Hoz
@david_sipos The content is what matters most, since that's what the user is searching and engaging with. That said, aside from the differences in tech between SPA and WP, more pages are always going to enable you to build topical authority and more internal links. It's almost impossible to rank for anything decent with a single page unless you're lucky to find obscure keywords or you're targeting something very new.

Zero click pages and google updates day by day.
Hoz
@ajay_kumar_verma1 Optimising for zero click pages is straight-forward, but getting the zero position can be a lottery when there's a lot of competition. As for the updates, I personally don't track updates closely these days, except for the major ones. I find it better to focus on creating valuable content, as that stands the test of time (updates are not going to publish great content).
Richard Gao
Link building. It requires the most effort. Most of the other ones are just website optimizations that can be done after reading Google's best practices page.
Hoz
@richard_gao2 Indeed. Link building is the 'drag' for most SEOs. There's a lot of talk about outreach, but I've yet to meet somebody who likes the idea of that!

To find an apt keywords
Hoz
@nancy_nishi That's one of the hardest and most important steps. Luckily some SEO tools out there help you do this easily by using Doug Cunnington's KGR (Keyword Golden Ratio) or some variation of it.
Reshma S
I think its Link building. Its a very difficult task in SEO.
Hoz
@reshma_s Indeed. One thing I do is focus on content creation that naturally gets links. That's hard too, but not as time-consuming as doing 'good' outreach.

For me, link-building is the biggest challenge. It is a time consuming and tricky process
Hoz
@thasleema_samad It's tricky indeed. The thought of overdoing it and having to manage (and test) your anchor text, aside from the complexities of valuable link building, make it probably the least attractive part of SEO. However, depending on the keyword strategy, external link building can be optional.
