Here are my tips
1. If you're a first-timer, launch on weekends
2. Always build audience before the launch
3. Reply to each and every comment on Product Hunt

@lodovico_sella Donno about the waitlist, I feel It is better to have 30-40 upvotes in the first 30 minutes. Also, send emails in batches, instead of sending all of them at once. It will not look spammy for the Ph algorithm.
