As an aspiring product manager, one of my mentors told me how important it is to have a centralized platform to organize, schedule and track projects to streamline workflows. Since then trello has been my go-to software. I spend a lot time on trello analysing my progress, managing timelines, allocating resources and more. I religiously follow this advice till date and I can't emphasize how immense of a help this has been. Would love to hear from you about the one tool that has made your life easier!

As a Product Manager, I generally use JIRA for project management stuffs and the most of the communication with the team happens through it. My team is also familiar with everything there and managing the tasks are super easy. This is something I start my day with. Also, whenever I try to make dashboard wireframes I go out with Mokkup.ai as it is super easy to use with its drag and drop features.

No doubt they will appear for different roles, there will be many. At followr we are dealing with those who deal with the comprehensive management of social networks. From content, support, scheduling and analytics. The focus clearly and is PRODUCTIVITY

One of the best things you can do as a product manager is clarify the line between product management and project management and have the right tools and processes for each. One is about discovering what needs to be built (product management), and the other is about executing on those discoveries (project management). Balancing both roles is an art and having a tool that aids in achieving this balance can significantly boost productivity. This is where ProdPad comes in (disclaimer, I'm the PM who came up with the concept and built it). ProdPad is like having a specialized productivity assistant that understands the intricate dance between product and project management. When it comes to product management, ProdPad excels at organizing and structuring the chaos of ideas. Its idea management feature is like a treasure trove where all your brilliant insights are stored, ready to be reviewed and developed further. This streamlines the discovery phase, ensuring that no valuable idea gets lost in the shuffle. On the project management side, ProdPad’s integration capabilities are a true standout. It works harmoniously with project management tools like Jira and Trello, bridging the gap between your product vision and the execution of it. It enables smooth transitions from planning to action, keeping your team aligned and your projects on track. One of my favorite aspects of ProdPad has to be the feedback collection feature. It allows you to channel the voice of your users directly into your product planning and development process. This makes sure you're building something that meets your users' needs, aligning your product and project management goals. ProdPad also shines in terms of prioritization. Their impact-effort matrix helps evaluate the potential impact and feasibility of each task or idea. This means you’re not just busy, but busy with the right things - the things that will move your product forward. So all in all, you need a good project management tool for all the dev and other tasks (the 'to be done' stuff) and a good product management tool attached (to discover which of the 'could be done' tasks should actually get the green light!).
