What is the ideal posting interval for Twitter marketing?

I am currently managing two Twitter accounts, and have come across a dilemma. Even though I want to share multiple posts from each account each day, not sure if this is the best way to proceed, and is probably not realistic. What are your thoughts/tips?

I assume there is no guidebook for such inquiry. That depends on your community and the demography of course including their time zone. Also, quality over quantity when we speak of Twitter users

I also think there is no rule on that, but I think engaging with people through responses or quote tweets can help you to increase engagement even if you can't post everyday.

@begum_avci great advice! Engaging with followers is sure a much quicker way than posting, and you still get most of the benefits.

Based on my experience, posting doesn't really matter. It is important that your tweets are liked by your audience and then they will visit your profile every day

@vkhoroshkov Makes so much sense. In that sense, creating better content is probably a much efficient way than creating more content.

If you have that many ideas for sharing (which is great by the way), I would skim it down to just one tweet a day per account and then focus on replying and commenting on other posts.

@oscar_wehbe Thank you for the advice! I definitely agree that creating a balance between creating posts and engaging with other accunts work the best.

I think people improve with practice. So in the beginning it’s better to post more than less because it’s more practice. I post maybe 5-10 times a day. Some tweets resonate but most dont. But overall it’s growing. I think if I posted half that it would be so much slower. Hope that helps!!

@darwin_binesh Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I agree that accounts on different stages need diffeent strategies as well. I think our accounts being on the newer side, it is best for me to pratice.

@lara_tankal Happy to - I think I should be doing more but we can only do so much. The practice really helps. Images and video have also helped. I posted a few videos lately and they regularly get 3x-4x the impressions.

Analyze when your audience come online

We couldn't figure out the time that will work for all tweets, I still believe that it's content that matters and proper/ situative hashtags. Most important that your tweet is catchy to share

I think there's no hard and fast rule for that.

Engaging with others and posting daily won't have that much difference. I tried both, engaging with others is better as you can make new friends too.

I believe the ideal strategy would be to run some tests. Tweet multiple times in the day and observe which time slots get the most traffic/engagement. You could even take the experiment deeper by testing your topics too.

Twitter is all about thought leadership & providing value. A Twitter thread once or twice a week where you can tell a story or bring someone through your journey is far more valuable than frequent one-off tweets.
