As a member of the Product Hunt community, what are your thoughts on a world where 99.5% of written content is generated by AI? How would this impact industries such as journalism, marketing, and creative writing? What are the implications for the future of work, and what new opportunities might arise as a result of this shift? Finally, how can we ensure that the content created by AI is of high quality and meets ethical and legal standards?

then I'd only read those 0.5% written by human

@annebroadwin Haha, that's one way to look at it, Anne! It could be like searching for a hidden gem in a sea of AI-generated content. Who knows, we might find some real treasures in that 0.5% of human-written content.

@seanp_ai that's right! Frankly i don't really trust the AI articles. Giving its seemingly more authentic presentation, it's even harder to tell if the content is really a gem

@annebroadwin yeah, AI making up facts is a big issue, even Google's BARD made up facts in their marketing video. It's hard to trust AI-generated articles because of their seemingly authentic presentation.

If so, I think it will reduce the expression of emotion in the text

@sherryxena Agreed, AI may reduce expression of emotion until it can sense and write in the way we expect. But it's fascinating to see how AI is progressing - anyone remember the movie "Her"?

I don't think it will ever reach that point, will it? Certain reporting, fiction etc will always be human-first. I mean, AI does need to be trained on something, and surely humans will create that content? 🤞

@geetanjalishrivastava Yeah, it's possible that some content will always be human-created, but AI can also train on other data to generate new content. For example, synthetic data generation is becoming more popular. We'll have to see how it plays out, but it's definitely an interesting topic to explore.

Maybe the 99.5% will be written by AI, but only the quality content will be on the first results. I think to create good content still need a human intervention, so the conclusion, at least for me, it will be a mix between AI and traditional content.

@luisgustavo Agree with Luis that AI-human combo is the way to go. Human touch important for authentic content and more.
