What do you think about the rise of voice in the world and the use of audio & voice media? Do you think the podcast industry is where it should be right now?

I believe it is not at its real place yet, it has begun to be discovered lately. Advertisements are leading all types of media that is aspiring our free time, so they can turn a medium to an industry. But on the other hand audio is a very unique media which can role easily as a bridge between the producer and the consumer. So it is a very useful interface for advertisement world and the biggest part of it is just awakening to it. So, I believe there is a long but downhill (so it will be fast to take) way to experience podcast world if we are speaking about an industry.

The main reasons for this are the lack of advertising revenue in the voice world and the potential interest of brands due to the lack of necessary interaction.

@cuneyt_gokturk Measurable, transparent interaction data and new advertising models that will appeal to listeners seem to be one of the biggest needs of these channels. Poddy seems to offer solutions to these in a very near future. We wish you a great launch!

I believe that current platforms or algorithms favor well promoted ones but in real world we have tons of voice needs to be heard. everyone has their own story or something that can share! podcast industry should be more encouraging for all of us 🙌🏻

@cerenkoseoglu Very true, I think we all need a more real (!) social media platform. It seems that the platforms that are closest to this will be audio content platforms. I don't have a great physique, I'm not a great copywriter, but those who say "I have something to tell" and those who are looking for partners for their stories will be heading directly to voice channels.

@cerenkoseoglu Correct, but not everyone is capable of asking good questions and articulating their thoughts and ideas in an appealing manner. Popular podcasts are often those with hosts who know how to present.

Although we have been coming across audio content more and more in the last few years, it has actually been in our lives for a very long time and now it needs more awareness. Undoubtedly, this market is quite large and because of this situation their needs are high. People now want to be heard, to be able to empathize and to be understood. On the other hand, we have content creators… They deserve to remain podcaster and earn an income as a podcaster not by doing other stuffs in other industries.

@mertsavas For this reason, consumers do not want to exist in channels with different personalities than they are, but they turn to channels where they can be more sincere, more real and completely themselves. In these channels, they follow the producers they can empathise with and see close to themselves.

The podcast ecosystem is not where it deserves to be. As mentioned in different comments above, only the star players are highlighted in all channels, but most of the broadcasters are trying different options because they cannot earn income from this sector. Some are trying vodcasts on video sites, others are desperately looking for sponsors. I believe that Poddy will be the solution to all this and will bring the Podcast ecosystem to its rightful place.
