What are some really offbeat marketing strategies you've ever used in your GTM approach?

Did it pay off? Being new to Product Marketing, I am constantly thinking of the more... unconventional ways to bring products to life. And I'm only a few months old in this, and have this feeling I can't be alone.

Once, we implemented a reverse psychology campaign where we explicitly asked people not to buy our product, sparking curiosity and increased sales. Another unique strategy was partnering with local tattoo artists to offer brand-themed tattoos, providing lifetime discounts for customers who got them, thereby creating a unique loyalty program and buzz.

@crichardsn1 Wow! This is really offbeat to the core.☺️ The second one, outrageous! But genius. I like the first one. People are naturally curious, funny how they end up doing what they're told not to. Robert Cialdini sold us this truth and it's been a shining revelation since.

We took a novel approach to promoting our environmentally friendly products by working with communities to build urban gardens and then branding those gardens with our name. It not only increased awareness of the brand, but also struck a chord with our eco-conscious clientele.

@joe_gonzalez_23 Wow. That sound really cool, Joe. I would've said convincing the communities like you did must've been tasking. But these days, the problem of pollution is so heavy that people who care would gladly play a part and get a sense of duty fulfillment when they contribute their quota towards an eco-project. This is lovely to read, Joe.
