I am currently using gitbook but it is not worth the premium. Which are the best tools out there?

I've recently used Apiary and Doxygen. It is freed from cost. You may use it for growing API documentation and software development.

@vaishali_bhardwaj Hi Vaishali! If you enjoy reading the Stripe documentation, you may use Theneo -- ‘Stripe-like API docs,’ recently launched here -- or Markdoc, the open-source framework that powers Stripe documentation. Hope it helps!

In the field in which I work, the best software is supercmr. Now I will explain to you a little about my job, I work in a logistics company and control the deliveries of 4 companies at the moment. All cargo transportations take place on the territory of Europe. In order to cross the border, the truck driver, the supplier and the customer who receives the goods need a document called CMR. To compile, store and share it with all parties, we use the application https://supercmr.com/ and it's the best we've tried so far. It works without breakdowns and is absolutely safe for the data that the documents contain.

Given that I use Document360, I would recommend it. Because of the tool's simplicity, even someone with no prior experience in technical writing or documentation can quickly understand how it works: Teamwork & evaluation. Employ advanced ToC filtering, assign user responsibilities, use document statuses with email notifications, per-topic review notes and comments, and more. Single-Sourcing. Combine your online and printed documentation under one roof. Each output component can be customised for each format, and several projects can be launched in a single portal for security. Each and every one of your data files is securely kept, constantly backed up, SSL encrypted, and password-protected. Support for single sign-on for authors, readers, and reviewers Additionally, private hosting is offered. Flexibility. Apply branding principles to the layout of your documentation and site (choose logos, styles, colours, fonts, and page margins).
