We've just made our app free! Should we have done it?

We’ve just done the ultimate 360 with our strategy, here’s why... When we started informed, one of our main goals was to make quality journalism more accessible. We launched in November, and I’ve loved seeing our users subscribe and enjoy consuming content on our app. But i knew it was time for a change. So, we made the decision to offer succinct summaries of all of our articles within the free tier of the informed app. This means anyone can get the best of the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, The Economist and many many more summarized for free. Users can still support the publishers (and us) by subscribing to read or listen to the articles in full - but this new feature allows informed to be accessed by everyone - and I’m so proud of that! I’d love your thoughts on our new summaries and our strategy shift! What do you think about going freemium?
