Tips to onboard users from Product Hunt launches?

How do you think about onboarding users that come in from your Product Hunt launch? Do you prioritize validated user information, reduced friction, or try for a balance between the two? We are launching a product this week and are aiming for both low friction onboarding and validated user identities. Since we use passwordless authentication, it gets users into the product quickly while also ensuring their email ID / social login signifies a real person at the other end. Any other tips and learnings welcome!
