Hi Product Hunters, I recently interviewed Gaurav, The founder of Twinr, after his successful product hunt launch. And I asked him , “ What are other platforms apart from product hunt that helped you get users?”” Gaurav right away said Appsumo. Here’s What Gaurav liked About launching on Appsumo: 1) We launched Twinr on Appsumo when it was in its very early stages, and it helped us a lot. 2) Offering a lifetime deal of Twinr on appsumo, got 200+ paid users from the launch. And all those early adopters helped us get real honest feedback on Twinr, by letting us know the features they wanted and improve Twinr. 3) And I would recommend any SaaS founder who wants to get feedback from early adopters to consider launching on appsumo for a limited time. You can checkout the full interview here to find out his complete launch strategy: https://launchpedia.co/twinr-pro... Have you tried launching on Appsumo? What are your thoughts?

@nithin_jawahar It's a business call that can depend on a case to case basis. Most early stage businesses choose to launch on AppSumo to find some early customers, feedback, and revenue (although this is not MRR but one time revenue). This does help in getting a sense of market validation (and some additional revenue to support the business). While it's great for the above mentioned reasons, the biggest downside is that these lifetime customers will need to be supported even if their LTV is the lowest. I would always want to have a clearer picture of how to acquire more MRR customers in the long run.

@layouceferie it's free to launch but they take a cut off your sales. And you need to offer a lifetime subscription deal to launch on Appsumo.

Is lifetime offer on AppSumo mandatory?
