Hi PH, I am curious to know about the community here especially those who are starting/running start-ups with a small team/partner while having a full-time job to support their bills and family responsibilities. As a woman, I repeatedly get asked this question about building a start-up and having a full-time job and being a mom to 2 young kids below 5, am I motivated? How can I manage my time? Why do you need a job when you are building a start-up? Is it just me or you guys are also in the same boat?

Same here. Dad of 2, I have a day job that is nothing related to my startups or nothing. Just to pay the bills mostly. Then in the evening or early mornings ( still adapting to the schedule of my youngest), I learn and try to grow my company and products. I think most people think that this is a hobby and I am crazy but doing that every day. I try to the long game that I will succeed but yes not easy. You have any hacks?
Gave you a follow on Twitter as it sounds as though you're in a similar place to me. I work 9-5, have 3 children and pretty much all of my focus is on my startup. I only need a job to pay the bills - having kids means responsibilities and until I have enough runway I won't take the risk.

@maxwellcdavis Hello Max, thanks for the follow and the reply. Yes, understandably so everyone needs to pay bills, and the family too has a right to a good life. Children don't care if papa and mama are in a start-up, they want to eat ice-creams go for swimming. singing , karate .. What I find strange is that a lot of executives don't get this point. So if I am building a start-up I definitely don't need the money !!! Or i simply don't have the drive to contribute highly at both places. They see this as a conflict of interest.
