But if you have experience and connections, you can release anytime, like this time when we decided to do it just 1 day in advance. 4. A skilled Hunter can be very helpful. @mujadad_naeem Of course, no worries, everything has a first time. Unless it's a celebrity startup team, don't expect to succeed on the first try. Most entrepreneurial ventures start with a cold launch like this. What's important is to extract lessons from each launch.

@prem_saini1 Sure, Twitter and LinkedIn are undoubtedly the most common social media platforms where you can expand the reach of your information dissemination. However, personally, I believe that the person-to-person connections within the PH community can be even more effective than social media outreach.

@prem_saini1 @victoria_wu But what I fear is that all the people I tag on social media will balk bc they will have to create a whole account on here to upvote me, right? Or can they just follow a link and upvote me?

@prem_saini1 @victoria_wu I'm not on Twitter (I erased my account post-Elon, and LinkedIn I sort of get a dead response. I am much more successful on Facebook, with Instagram coming in a very distant second. Do people have to sign up for an account on PH to upvote me? If so, this would prove to be a massive barrier to getting upvotes. No one likes creating extra sign-ins to new sites they're not gonna use...

@prem_saini1 @chitterz Yes, they must sign up for a PH account. But I wouldn't suggest getting upvotes from new PH users because their accounts may have a mark🎈, and those types of upvotes could even hurt your score (sometimes). It's against PH community rules as it looks like upvote manipulation.

@franksondors Great question! During these 13 months, Trickle went through several significant pivots. We started as a traditional task management tool, then transitioned into an AI knowledge base, and today, we've become an AI tool to tackle screenshot chaos. When your product undergoes major changes, you can actually submit an application to the Product Hunt team. Don't be shy, the PH team is quite friendly, as long as you explain the situation clearly, they will approve it. @yurushao

@victoria_wu @chitterz don worry much, after this launch you always can launch it again. It would be the best after 3 or 6 month and in the mean time you can grow community and share more!

@dfeles I totally agree with your point of view. And good question! First and foremost, "what the product is and what problem it solves" is of utmost importance. Setting aside connections and promotions, we need to go back to the essence of product launches, which is about helping whom with what problem? In other words, what value does it bring to users? If you can deliver this information clearly in your tagline, it will grab everyone's attention. Good luck!

@andriyuh I believe that sincerity and perseverance are the most effective, it's about communicating with community members day by day, and building genuine connections, there are no shortcuts.

@mandeep_sharma To be honest, Product Hunt, as a platform for launching products, is quite excellent for startups. If you manage to reach the top 4, Product Hunt will bring you significant visibility and traffic. Most importantly, it can be a tipping point, with traffic continuing to surge on the second and third days after the launch, even expanding to the coming weeks, and your product’s reputation spreading within the tech community.

@chitterz You can look for the most active community members on the streak board to be your hunter. They often have their social media info on their profiles. Reach out to them, tell them about your product, and see if they'd like to be your Hunter. You can even check out the top Hunters of PH who also have their personal websites on their profiles. And you can upload your product info there, and book a launch time.

@victoria_wu But they shamelessly charge a lot of money to hunt products. This should be against community guidelines but it's not

@victoria_wu Also, if I already am launching my own product, aren't I the hunter? I'm currently pre-launch...is it too late to get a hunter?

@victoria_wu I just reached out to the #2 hunter, Kevin William David, thank you! Others charge to hunt your product and I think that's so messed up. When you get to a high position you've got to remember where you came from. Plus how can my launch be genuine if I paid for such help? I want someone who is truly going to evangelize my product bc they want to evangelize it.
