I came across the news today that X (formally Twitter) has taken the initiative to reduce spam, manipulation, and bot activity on the platform.
The program requires new users in New Zealand and the Philippines to pay a $1 USD fee to create posts, reply, repost, quote posts, and bookmark posts. New users who do not pay the fee will only be able to read posts, watch videos, and follow accounts.
What are your thoughts on it?
Should PH be taken steps like this too?

I guess we know where all the bots are coming from. NZ an PH 😬.....and Don't you have to sign up to PH with a twitter account? So by extension this will eventually apply to PH as well. Most PH bots have a fake twitter account with fake twitter posts etc.
