Not sure about 'trend' but adding too many fancy animations works to your disadvantage.

Overuse of stock photos.

Especially once with faces. I feel I already know all stock user profile photos
The quantity of information and visual assets instead of the quality of the information.
For me, LPs should be concise and straight to the point. I don't want to have to scroll down 3-5 pages to see the value of what's being offered.
