Judge My New Startup Idea

App/Website Idea Hey friends & community! 😊 My mate and I have been brewing over this idea for just under a week, and after a furious 3-day coding session, we've turned our concept into reality - a bare-bones MVP, but it's a start! The Idea: Picture a platform where everyone can share and track their predictions about the future - from economics to culture, to politics. A place to get inspired by a variety of visions and ideas. Why? We've all seen predictions everywhere – newspapers, podcasts, videos, you name it. People speculate about everything from stock markets to world events. But here's what's missing: a dedicated hub that not only collects these predictions but also tracks, compares, and analyzes them over time. There's no single place where the accuracy and insights of these forecasts are continuously monitored and discussed. Our solution: Imagine a platform where anyone can publish their predictions and share them with others, turning prediction into a game. It's a place where you can test your predictions, discover new ones and engage in stimulating discussions with a community of like-minded people. We just launched the site today; we don't expect it to go big (yet :D), but I hope it's something people can use if they want to be inspired, or if they feel like they have a vision and want to share it with others. That said, we’d love to hear from you! What do you think? Any advice or features you'd love to see? Our goal is to create something enjoyable and engaging for everyone. Curious? Check it out: https://20-20.io/ (And yes, we're still thinking over the name, so thoughts on that are welcome too!) P.S.: We're considering building this project in public – sharing our entire codebase, our tech stack adventures (we're both coding newbies, so it's a journey!), and more. Would you be interested in following our progress? P.S.S.: Our mini-goal for the week is to hit 10 signups. It would be incredibly motivating if you could help us reach that milestone. Cheers and much love!

sounds interesting.. but surely it must be much more complex there is a need on experts from many areas .. and distinguish usual and professional predictions main page need categories with counters etc guess you also will need paid users traffic .. such ideas greatly depends of quantity of subscribed people

@xeno1 thank you for your reply! I really appreciate your feedback. Yes, you are right and I share your ideas. In general, I'm very curious to see where we could push this idea in terms of business model and what could be a unique core feature that would keep users coming back to our prediction app. Thank you for your insights!

I agree that the idea is cool, but you need to bet on the forecast, then it will be good)
