Is self-discipline more important than motivation?

I have always believed that self-discipline is more important than motivation. Self-discipline always helps to achieve things while motivation can only take us so far. Many people might say that they have been working for many years with self-discipline but haven't reached the goal they wanted to reach. But there is always a bright light at the end of the tunnel we have to keep going and do our work with discipline and the result will always be worth the wait.

Self-discipline is a strong human trait, but motivation must be drawn from the reason why you do it. When you don't have a goal, you don't have a path.
