Is it common for Designers to search for new design tools?

As a designer, I get hyped when new tools pop out, I like to try them and decide where they will fit in my workflow, as I'm not afraid to learn new things and switch to better tools. When talking with veteran designers I noticed that they like their old ways and find learning and using new tools pretty painful. I believe that designers should always try to learn new things, even if that means switching around tools and getting out of their comfort zone from time to time. What do you think?

I get all the fuss about new tools. When you explore and learn, you stay flexible and creative. But some designers like to use tried-and-true workflows. Try new tools, but don't feel like you have to switch.

@mary_gonz8 The "tried-and-true" workflows were once the opposite, as for switching to new tools, I have to partially agree with you, sure, there is no pressure, whatever works for anyone, but at some point in switching to new tools more adapted to current times is much better than sticking with the old ones just because they work for you. It's just a good habit I picked when I learned to code, I'm always open to new ways of getting work done even if the old ways work, I know they will work only for a limited time until they become obsolete. Still, nothing wrong with the old ways, but it's just me, I like new things.

Hey ! @chris_sarca what are the design tools you discovered lastly ?
Chris Sarca
@devezehugo I'm one of the makers of such new design tools, check out Expressive Suite, it includes Expressive Canvas for vector graphics and Expressive Animator for 2D motion graphics, the apps are currently in Beta, they're free forever and do not require an account to use.

I think it relates not only to designers. It's really good to learn new tools or approaches, no matter who you are - cause it broadens one's horizons and helps one grow professionally.
As you clearly mentioned, I also think it is important for designers to keep an eye out for new design tools to improve their workflow. If you are looking for one, Sivi AI can help you generate designs instantly.

Yes, it's quite common for designers to actively search for new design tools. Design is a dynamic field, and staying up-to-date with the latest tools and software can greatly enhance a designer's capabilities. Designers often explore new tools to streamline their workflow, access new features, and stay competitive in the industry. Whether it's discovering the latest graphic design software, prototyping tools, or even finding helpful design-related plugins, designers are always on the lookout for fresh resources that can help them bring their creative ideas to life. This continuous quest for new design tools reflects the ever-evolving nature of design and the designer's eagerness to adapt and excel in their work.
