When launching a new product on Product Hunt, is it better to enlist influential hunters or do a self-launch?
What are the pros and cons of each approach?
The community's experiences and advice are welcome to help determine the best strategy between using hunters or doing it yourself.

Question: what does hunting entail? Can I hunt for other people right now as someone with a small following?

Hello Rachid,
I am new here as well launching a product in August. I wish I new the answer (I don't) but from what I've read there seems to be an earnest method of engaging with the community & supporting others as a way to create some momentum. I'm also still unsure if there is value in paying a few thousand dollars to contract a hunter but all the same I think there is something good in just being part of the community as a builder. So for me that's where I'm starting. Good luck with your launch. I'll follow your launch if you have a page.
For a successful product launch on Product Hunt, it is better to enlist influential Hunters who have a strong following and can drive more visibility and engagement for the edtech application. Their support and promotion can significantly boost the product's chances of reaching a wider audience and gaining traction in the competitive marketplace.
@realkunalmehta Thanks for your reply.
ooh okay, I understand more.
Sometimes being helped by an hunter is paid process ?
Depends on your network and the product. Getting a big-name Hunter could give you a visibility boost, but it's no guarantee of success. A self-launch? It's more work, but you control the narrative. Keep in mind that no matter the route, your product has to rock.
