Hi team! I'd like to list a product that I have not created, do you think it is a good idea? Did any of you tried this out already ? I know it was the primal target of Product Hunt but I really don't know if it is still effective. Thanks for your support!

I’m curious why you would want to do that, Oscar?

@cesarioo makes sense. I’m no expert but I would have thought there are a lot of people who would appreciate your support helping the launch and promote on PH. So long as you do it with their consent. Might be worth checking out the FAQs on this. I found some useful info there.

I wonder if this would do good or harm the marketing planning without proper communication. If our product is gonna be hunted we would like to put our efforts together with the hunter to maximize the outcomes of the launch. The embedded banners of PH are only available for the creators to be added to the product marketing website, so most probably you (as an external to the company) won't have access to add it.

I really want someone to invent an AR app on the new Apple headset so that I can run against “ghost” versions of myself from previous days where I ran the same route. A bit like Mario Kart on the N64.
That was the original way products appeared on Product Hunt. It’s still done all the time as well

You can hunt a product if you have the approval of the maker. It can give them a boost of exposure if the maker is new to product hunt.
