Although the launch didn't meet our expectations, we are happy with the community support that we received
@kovshenin Not that much high Konstantin as an active member of community I can expect that we can secure the Top 5 position but yes early traction is important and don't know why we loose this rhythm, but somehow I feel like people buy the upvotes and that's really bad
@neha_8 Interesting, thanks for sharing! I did get a similar vibe in the first hour of the launch, my Linkedin was *flooded* with "influencers" begging for $50 to share my launch with their super-duper-very-active network and secure "top X" spots, etc. Made me think the whole thing is rigged, but after getting some actual sign-ups, comments, questions and other feedback from people who seemed genuinely interested, I've focused on engaging with them, rather than upvotes and positions (which are still nice, just not a priority).
@neha_8 @kovshenin I didn't know how aggressive these influencers are! I thought the platform are pretty good at detecting bots and taking down fake votes?

I am launching a web app called ShowNotes (ShowNotes.app) for people like myself who enjoy sharing links, notes, research findings, recipes, PDFs, and code snippets with friends, colleagues, and the public. Many of us love to share our insights yet do so without any rewards or ways to build an audience. While some may use social media to gain a following, most will likely take a different route.
With ShowNotes, I want to change that by offering a knowledge-sharing platform that allows gaining an audience and subscribers. The core premise is that when we share valuable information with others, we should be able to steadily build a following of people who appreciate what we have to offer.
To encourage trust and safety, ShowNotes utilizes AI tools to moderate content and double-check that all links and files meet community guidelines. You can feel confident that what is being shared maintains a high standard of quality and integrity.
My goal is for ShowNotes to be a place where anyone who loves sharing knowledge, insights, and helpful resources can build an audience simply by offering value to others. It removes the need to be an "influencer" to have your voice heard, and your information reaches those who may benefit from it.
