The past week or two has been wild with ChatGPT because of how INCREDIBLE it is. If you are the one to put a price tag on Chat GPT, how much would you charge it?

I would charge based on pay per use and a few times above the compute costs. (which are also pay per use) Reasoning is that monthly subs will just cause you to lose money if the user exceeds your compute usage. However, to maximize profit, your average user would get it for $10 per month, but will be charged pay per use for x amount of uses crossed. This is because your average user might not use it that much, so it'll be best to squeeze as much profit as possible. But a company may be charged pay per use only because then then our success will scale with theirs. Overall, I think it would be less productive to decide on exact price and more productive to decide the pricing model based on how it could be the most profitable.

I would find a balance between pay-as-you-go and Usage-based pricing. Following a traditional pricing model would not be apt considering the nature of the product and the behaviour of users.
