I would like to ask you a few questions regarding social media management. - As a branding & marketing specialist, what's your main goal? - How do you manage social media? Do you use any third party tools? - If so, what motivated you to use them? - If you don't, why not? Just wanted to know how professionals use social media. I've been studying social media a lot lately. thanks!

@imjohnkoo hi! Thanks for such cool questions! Happy to share a bit of my experience here ๐Ÿค— So about the goal: (this is an amazing question, again, thank you so much for asking! โค๏ธ) It totally depends on the company and business needs, goals, and vision. I've worked for some tiny software development service providers that just needed to be seen by potential customers. And I've worked with a huge outsource game dev company that desired to grow and get all the best talents on board. So yeah, my goal as a marketing and branding specialist 100% correlates with business needs, and I'm more of a helping force in the path toward their goals. About social media management: It also depends on the business needs. Some need to be always there and have specific goals to achieve. Some want their accs not to seem abandoned. I respect business needs and create strategies that will help, not add something unneeded to their plates ๐Ÿฅฃ About third-party tools: I haven't really used any so far. And my rational brain knows that this is an amazing way to save some time and add more of structure to social media work. But the irrational part is a bit scared that social media platforms love their native tools a bit more and keep advantages to those who use them ๐Ÿ˜ฌ So what is your experience with social media so far? Which one is the most interesting for you and why? I'm happy to hear more! โค๏ธ

What is the most challenging and working thing for you while doing this job?
Kate Kovbii
@dogukan_tezcan hi, I love your question so much! Thanks for asking it! So for me, the most challenging part is to explain to business owners what marketing is and what it can and can't do ๐Ÿ˜… I had the absolute pleasure of working with tech business owners that create fantastic software solutions and, deep down in their hearts, know that they need some marketing but have no idea what it is and what to expect ๐Ÿ˜…

@kate_kovbii Thanks for responding! I can imagine it must be a challenging process, but working with marketing-savvy operators can definitely make things easier.
Kate Kovbii
@dogukan_tezcan oh, can't agree more! โค๏ธ And what do you find the most challenging part of your work right now?
DoฤŸukan Tezcan
@kate_kovbii Sometimes research can be a bit of a challenge and finding creative ideas can be tough, but I've discovered that immersing myself in art and music really helps me overcome this.
Kate Kovbii
@dogukan_tezcan sounds awesome! What is your Top-1 music suggestion to boost creativity? I listen to Hollow Knight OST ๐Ÿคซ

Hey Kate, thanks for doing this! For a small business whose target audience is pre-university teenagers, what do you reckon are the best social mediums to build brand awareness?
Kate Kovbii
@narenbhandary thank you for asking! โค๏ธ It depends on what exact teenagers you want to target and what to offer them ๐Ÿ˜ But, of course, my first intention was to immediately write "TikTok" ๐Ÿ˜… I saw a lot of great examples of tiktoking made by different brands. One of my favorites is LinkedIn's acc there - https://www.tiktok.com/@linkedin So what exact teenagers are you looking for and why? โœ๏ธ
Naren Bhandary
@kate_kovbii thanks for the response. The target market would be teenagers who are looking to understand the career options ahead of them.
Kate Kovbii
@narenbhandary oh, that is cool! Is there any specific region youโ€™re looking for your target audience at and specific conditions about education and career there?
Naren Bhandary
@kate_kovbii Nothing at this point - no. Ideally the conditions would be students who are pre-university or in university who are curious about alternate career options available to them. I would ideally start in India as that is my homebase but the aim is for the students to browse career paths the way you would sample ice-cream flavors at the parlor. Just pick whatever you find interesting and see if it's a good fit.
