How effective are LinkedIn ads for B2B?

Hi! Once in a while, LinkedIn gives me a prompt to boost a post. At first, I wasn't interested, but recently I've been noticing that other B2B companies have started running ads more actively. I'm interested in hearing your experiences, because I didn't find any case studies or actual results posted (maybe a few articles about saying how this is a great tool, but without proof). Please, share your experience with LinkedIn ads or any resources that you deem helpful! Thank you!

The right LinkedIn ad can bring you loads of targeted visitors to your website and help you increase conversions at little cost. It has so much potential, and the data explains that LinkedIn ads can generate massive traffic from its users and are one of the best platforms for B2B Marketing.

@qudsia_ali Could you, please, kindly share the data that you have? I would love to learn more, because I haven't found any case studies about LinkedIn ads myself...

Hi Anna, It is always good to analyse the channel first to see how works and what it is the role into your marketing strategy. It will be more like a growth loop or more like an initiative to feed your growth loops. There are several steps and questions to get that answer. My experience with B2B and SaaS is that is a really good channel for both strategies. To feed the top of your funnel with lead generation ad formats to catch up the interest with ebooks or guides (through their LinkedIn lead generation forms ) or invite them to a webinar (through their LinkedIn event and/or send to your own landing page to do remarketing) or even share your blog posts where they can signup for a Newsletter or Podcast. Once you can feed to top of the funnel, you can also do more acquisition messages to specific audience attributes like remarketing on your website or remarketing on the LinkedIn lead generation forms or events or lookalikes based on specific matches audiences in your account. I think the idea of using Linkedin is really useful for B2B because it is a professional social network, they are there for that purpose and they have a clear intention when they are on that platform. It is different if the user is on Twitter or Facebook. But on Linkedin, they are already in the business mode. Also, the audience attributes features of Linkedin are really good to segment your audience compared with other social media platforms. However, Linkedin Ads is expensive, so I suggest using it if your company sells products or services with a medium-high ticket. I hope this could help. Cheers,

I really don't know what people think about this. I have seen more success with cold Linkedin outreach than paid ads. The ads are also too expensive. I wouldn't consider paid ads on Linkedin at all, hey but that's just me.

@segunketiku Yes, I've heard a lot against LinkedIn ads, especially about disappointing results, but lots of people also claim them to be a very good tool, so I'm a little confused, and would like to see some good detailed case studies

these worked the best for us and we are a consumer app. THE BEST. they dont have these horrible spam filters like other socials and are way more fair. Also may be more expensive but the conversions truly come from there are great

It really depends on what content do you offer in ads and what audience you are after. For some clients, we found LinkedIn ads effective but for some we did not. I like their recent ad option to create conversation ads to engage with the prospect a bit more and build new relationships. There is much higher CTR for this type of ads too!

If you target your B2B audience correctly on LinkedIn ads, it's mostly possible that you can get better leads and results than other social ads platforms. You might also look at this LinkedIn course : https://training.marketing.linke... It's really helpful.
