How do you promote a product while it's still in development?

Hi, all! We are in the process of developing the product, but while this stage is going on, I want to get people on the early user list. And so I have a question: what are some effective tools to promote the product at this stage? Of the ones we're using right now: 1. Twitter blog; 2. Medium blog; 3. Publishing promotional content in targeted communities where our target audience; We want to get a big result so that once we launch, we have a significant portion of the audience from which we can get maximum feedback. Tell us, how did you engage people when you had the product still in development?

This is really an important question. Even if you have the best new product or service available, if you don't effectively promote it, you may miss out on possibilities or even wind up losing money.

- Build a newsletter with weekly/monthly updates. - Create your own community (can use places like Telegram, Slack, Discord or Rock and have people who are interested join). - 1:1 outreach can be helpful in this stage so you can further narrow down on your ICP and tweak the product based on the discussions you're having with people.

Build a community! As long as you keep your users meaningfully engaged in the creation of your product, they will give you everything you need in terms of feedback to keep moving in the right direction. I'd recommend finding relevant communities on Slack/Discord, even here and doing your utmost to get them into the product. Maybe publish your changelogs as blogs/email content and keep your community in the loop on how you're adjusting based on their feedback.

Great question! We actually just built a teaser LP on Canva to start gathering some emails while putting the finishing touches on our V2. But we're also struggling with this! Let me know if you figure out any good ideas.

One of the finest methods to market a service or an offer is to retarget clients after they've browsed your website and just before they're ready to depart. Retargeting a client who abandoned a cart with an on-site exit offer can result in last-minute changes in choices and impulse purchases. Visitors will only be shown with exit pop-ups, as opposed to entry pop-ups, if they are leaving the website without making any purchases. Exit incentives differ from company to company. Visitors can be offered time-limited discounts coupons, email subscription forms, free proposals, and even free trials.

To engage people is to give them something to think about , and where they can provide suggestion,feedbacks etc so that they can connect with your product. One of the method i saw was doing live product development, ie., creating flow for everyone to understand what is being developed now, publishing updates of any new challenge you are facing , so people interested can comment, you can share initial hypothesis your method of solving the problem and get valuable feedback,..and show them live results so that everyone feels connected with your development. if you are able to connect with people, as they consider it as their own product, they will become your first product users

The best way to promote a product while it's still in development is to use a landing page containing product information. You can use it to collect visitors' email addresses, build buzz about your product, and sell it once it's ready to be delivered.

1. I have setup landing pages and blog for both betterbookmarks.xyz and tinySitetools.com. 2. Leveraged Reddit for betterbookmarks, by posting and sharing on the benefits. 3. My target audience for betterbookmarks is students, writers, creators who do web research. 4. Got a lot of traffic and 16 installs so far 5. Emailed each of the users who registered personally offering to help and soliciting feedback 6. i have the same question too. I often post on facebook group but being rejected since it seems like they dont like any promotional or advitorial post. i am nobody which people didnt give way to promote.

My list: 1. Blogs (Medium, vc.ru, habr.com, hackernoon) - writing about building a startup 2. Forums (Indie Hackers, reddit, etc.) - answering questions, asking your own 3. PH - participating in the discussions 4. Social media accounts - talking about your product 5. Landing page - attracting users
