During the launch of my work-life balance app Balance yesterday, there were many comments from people struggling with finding and maintaining a good work-life balance. This is a topic that's becoming more and more important as more people are working from home—where it can be difficult to separate work and life. How do you deal with this? Do you have some tips or recommendations to share?

You can maintain a work-life balance in several ways. It is crucial to prioritize and schedule time for work and leisure activities. It is also essential to take regular breaks and to make time for hobbies and interests that provide a sense of joy and relaxation. Additionally, setting boundaries between work and personal life and reducing stress can help maintain a healthy balance.

I wonder if there is anything like perfect work life balance
Alexander Sandberg
@robert_k_simpson True—perfection is always difficult to achieve. But when it comes to work-life balance, I don't think it's binary, i.e. either you have it or you don't. I think work-life balance is something you can improve and see the benefits from without ever perfecting it.

As the founder of RECRD, I often find my work life spilling over into my personal life - I find that setting boundaries is one of the most important aspects in ensuring I still have that balance.

@anoirhoumou That's great, Anoir! I'm curious what kind of boundaries you've found helpful?

@alexandberg I usually try to keep meetings within work hours when possible. I also try to respect the working times of my colleagues (and myself): no one is expected to work outside of these hours unless there is an exceptional circumstance.

@anoirhoumou Amazing! 🙏 This is especially important when working with people in different time zones, as it makes it easier for meetings to slip outside regular work hours.

Still trying to maintain it..

Work-Life balance is being overated, cut dried and hardly interesting anymore. You want it, you take it. Some work needs it, some days need it while some others don't. I believe one should find our own way of embracing it and stop expecting everyone to see it the same.
