How do you get users to rate and review your app?

I offered one month free for a premium membership via email and only one out of ~1800 users actually did it.

It's not as easy as it seems. I suggest working on your product primarily by improving and updating it. People will review your app if it offers exclusive helpful features and solves users' issues. Also, if there are any bugs or problems, fix them immediately. My experience shows that the most loyal customers are those who get the fastest friendly support and issue-solving. They usually leave feedback.
