Whether it's using an app, having a regular all-hands meeting, or increasing collaboration, how do you promote team/organizational alignment in your business?

Connecting with the other individuals involved is the key to building alignment in your organization. (This consists of demonstrating and telling instead of simply telling.) Setting objectives, creating expectations, and defining responsibilities are critical first steps. Then, check-in regularly to ensure you're all on the same page. Use these chances to demonstrate and inform one another what you're doing so that you may make modifications as you go.

The number one thing the C-level members focus on during our weekly product meetings is encouraging the engineering and marketing team to provide their thoughts. We never want our employees to feel like they're being commanded or are "privileged" to be privy to the important conversations. Their input is valued and our best hires have consistently been the ones who feel at home enough to call us out on bad or unpolished ideas! :)

@szaciu I completely agree - something I try to emphasize in our meetings is asking for feedback, their thoughts, and just generally make sure everyone is bringing their own unique perspective to everything we do.

@paul_vanzandt yes! And it's so important to make it clear that the "feedback" session is not relegated as a "one last thing before we depart" nicety. It needs to be organically woven into the whole conversation so that employees never feel like an afterthought or like they're being coddled or patronized.
