How do you combine a full-time job and building a startup?

Ideally, you should be fully dedicated to your startup. But that's sometimes not the case, due to different circumstances! Usually I try to dedicate time specifically for building and not overlap it with the job, otherwise productivity and performance levels might not be at peak levels. And although I say this, I still spend half my lunch break on startup stuff and not on actual rest 😅 How about you?

Ahh, this is a tough one!! Currently in the same boat. Been trying to wake up early and use 3-4 hours in the morning before work exclusively for building. One thing that helps me is having that line of separation and compartmentalizing my mind.

@mayaa.17 This is a good approach! You can also try doing some activity between the switch from building to job. Something like to the gym or for a walk - just to make that mind switch. And what are you working on, if it's not a secret? :)

i usually spent about an hour or two after work, but only on specific days (2 days a week), and then spare more time to work on the on weekend

@james_tedy Sounds good! And do you get enough time to rest on the weekend?
James Tedy
@veselin_kostov yes ofc. I don't spent the whole weekend for it anymore (maybe except for Saturday sometimes). and try to always empty my evening to get a rest and relax
