The holidays are a time for families and friends to come together and celebrate. But if you have a team/company that is diverse in culture and traditions, how can you make sure that everyone feels included? Here are some of my tips/thoughts: 1. Talk to your team about their holiday traditions. The first step is to have a conversation with your team about their holiday traditions. Ask them what holidays they celebrate and how they typically celebrate them. This will give you a better understanding of their unique traditions and how you can honor them. 2. Make a plan that includes everyone. Once you have an understanding of your team's holiday traditions, you can start to make a plan that includes everyone. Try to find activities that everyone can participate in and enjoy. For example, instead of having a traditional holiday party where everyone just eats and talks, you could include games or other activities that everyone can enjoy. 3. Be flexible with your plans. As you're making your plans, be sure to be flexible. It's important to remember that not everyone celebrates the same holidays or celebrates them in the same way. So, be flexible with your plans and be willing to adjust them as needed to accommodate everyone on your team. Celebrating the holidays with a diverse team can be a challenge, but it's definitely doable! By following these tips, you can make sure that everyone on your team feels included and honored during this special time of year. Let me know what types of things you do within your company culture! I'm super curious to hear your creative ideas 💡
