How did you land your first user?

Our first user came from interviews with potential customers Before having a product prototype, I had ~30 user interviews. One person got just a little bit more interested than others in the idea. And was open to giving it a try when we have an MVP. It turns out he didn't mind having calls from time to time to give feedback on Figma screens. And was invested enough to try 2 COMPLETELY different versions of a product. In the end, he was the first to use it 3 weeks in a row. And became our *User Persona*. Like literally user persona :) What is the story behind your first user?

My experience is similar to yours. I initially posted flyers in nearly 20 grocery stores and libraries offering some money for customer interviews. I had a grand total of 1 response. Then I mined my LinkedIn connections. Response was terrific and I interviewed 50+ folks who were interested. Many offered to test the app and they are the ones who are my first users. Their support has been wonderful. We continue to share the app with them and are also building a pre-launch wait list. Hope that helps.

@rajeshkan72 This is the way! Love the story about your first experiments. They may not worked this time, but the approach and the experimentation spirit will lead you to results. One way or another )
@rajeshkan72 great story! Lol, one response from the grocery store fliers offering money. Yet several from LinkedIn. Goes to show you how supportive a good community can be

Before building product, we already validate our idea in our network and TG. Getting first user is relatively easy if you are not first time founder. what I felt if you able to break through 1, 100, 1000 in your next product it relatively easier to onboard. the first time italwayas hard to convince.

@kostyabolsh for me interesting part was getting the new problem. Because the x amount of solutions already exist in the market But scaling is always challenging. I explore b2 SaaS a lot. so I knew or realised that if you have any product that liked by the user. you will immediately grab their attention in the next venture.
@robat_das interesting. I’m first time founder and soon to launch. Looking at the same 1, 100, 1000 milestones! Nervous yet excited
