Hey, Product Hunt! Twitter is a great platform to grow a business, but a lot of people struggle with getting the first 100 subscribers on Twitter (me too:) How did you break this first number? What are the tactics? I came up with a few observations here, but please add your thoughts! https://twitter.com/imdimakhan/s...

Write a bunch of tweets and run ads towards it (instead of global, you might target very specific niches in your own country for higher retention/real followers). Downside: expensive. Organically, you can follow a bunch of people you like and interact and comment on a bunch of stuff. Downside: very time-consuming.

IMHO, the best way to start is to interact genuinely with people you find interesting.

@rrhoover agree, doing it for the last three days w/o any sophistication and seeing how enery sparks from that

If you want to break this target so let me explain how I grow the twitter account of https://techtheeta.com/best-tabl... . First of all you have to understand your audience. Then you will have to do proper researched base post in your niche and will also interact with other peoples through retweet. While interacting with people through your sweet language will help you to grow your audience easily.

Posting a TON of a content. I believe the more content you post, the more you get shown up on the "Who To Follow' list where it shows 3 accounts that are similar to those you might follow. Maybe some type of algorithm? Could be way off though, no clue. To help with keeping up the posting of content we utilize Twitter's API. Our product/service mainly operates on Discord where we have 13,000 users and hundreds active daily. So we built a tool that posts messages with keywords from Discord onto Twitter. It also takes a screenshot of the message and uploads it, so anyone seeing the tweet can see where the message originated from. It also cycles through a dozen of hashtags we typically use. Ever since we've done this I noticed a 15-20x increase of our Twitter activity.

In my personal account, my social environment followed me and I reached hundreds quickly. But in my business account, I couldn't achieve that yet. https://twitter.com/nocodesolution

For me it was: 1) Valuable content (not only just stuff to market your app) 2) Regular posting + engaging with top users in your area 3) Speaking in Twitter Spaces
