I have a tool called Tamly that works only with a Chrome extension. Is there a way that I can use this to my advantage in customer acquisition?

Interested to read the answers!! I also have a Chrome Extension, for travel. What has been working really well for me is answering Quora questions related to what my extension does (getting better deals on accomodations by booking direct) and then promoting those answers. While it is paid, you can use a small budget to test it out.
Bump* Interested to know the answer as well!

SEO and If B2C, then channels like Tiktok and Instagram reel If B2B , then LinkedIn. Don't run ads unless you found PMF

@abrar_sami1 Most people advise against running ads until you have found Product-Market Fit (PMF). However, reaching PMF can be challenging and often requires multiple iterations. Even at an early stage, you can still run small-budget ads to bring in new users and test the product. By observing if these users become active or paid users and evaluating their retention, you can gain valuable insights. Another effective approach is directing new users to different landing pages to test your messaging, helping with product positioning, and identifying the right audience. Keep in mind that a product may not resonate with Group B but could be a perfect match for Group A. Therefore, running ads can be a helpful tool in the journey of discovering PMF, which should be viewed as a process rather than a definitive result. I hope these insights prove valuable to you. Hope my two cents help.

What kind of service is Tamly? Why don't you gather users on Twitter?

best is to share with your community
You'll obviously need a website and landing page to share with your community and multiple platforms. What has worked for me is influencer marketing, explore podcasts to advertise the benefits your chrome extension can add to the experience. Also, optimised chrome web store listing.

@tejaswini_gopalaswamy amazing list, do you have any ideas for the optimised chrome web store listing? is it a good idea to hire a dedicated person for that?

Well, I think that you need to start with your target audience. Then create your website or landing page and Social Media engagement. And probably finish with some trial or free version to attract users. :)

One strategy could be to leverage the power of social media. Identify online communities (like subreddits or Facebook groups) where your target audience is likely to hang out, and share your extension with them. Make sure to focus on the benefits of your extension and why it's worth checking out.

Try to paint your application with YouTubers with a specific area. Or promote it on the product, showing the functionality.

1. Start with doing SEO on your website through blogs, answers to people questions, etc. 2. Do link building on your main website and launch on as many platforms as possible. 3. Create company profile and be active on all social media platforms daily. 4. Find influencers that have low following (10-50k) but good engagement rate and pay for the promotion. This will create Brand Awareness and "MIGHT" get you some downloads. 5. Also, consider creating ChatGPT plugin of your extension for broader reach. 6, Never do PPC campaigns and Paid Ads, since there are no way effective for the extensions. (IMO) 7, Sponsor small IRL events "If your budget allows you to". 8. Create affiliate program. I'd consider going for Rewardful since they are really cheap and provide you and your affiliates with good backend dashboard. 9. Do Giveaways on your Social Media platforms. With giveaways, you dont need to give away money, just for example free sample of your product, and If your product is already free, consider giving away merchandize. Hope this helps.

There are many ways but first of all need to know about features of your extensions. First of all create suitable and description according to your targeted keywords and users ..... There are many tools like Google trend can help you to find trending keys in your niche markets. Use high quality screenshot and videos to attract users because there are lots of competition and poor image or video can be like first view go to last view. If you have budget then can hire digital marketing expert to drive traffic to your extension by many ways like content marketing, infographic marketing, social media marketing, discussion portal and many more things. For more we need to know something about your extension that what exactly your extension is providing.

As a early member at honey and sold a company to Rakuten , I would tell you chrome extension marketing is very hard and costly. At the end, you need to build a growth engine with paid ads that had 3-6 months pay back period so you can really scale it.

@m_guastavino Hello Marina, To be honest, it's a case-by-case answer and requires conducting numerous AB tests on the landing page, messaging, advertisement channels, and target audience. You're essentially building engines that work specifically for your product, with the aim of delivering the right messaging to the right audience through the right channels. So, your focus should be on achieving these three key aspects: getting them "Right." That being said, Facebook/Meta offers more attributes and interest groups that you can segment and target. It also provides valuable early signals to assess the relevance of your messaging and audience. Hence, it's a good starting point for your AB testing. Once you have identified the right audience and effective messaging on FB/Meta, you can then expand and display it on platforms like Google or other channels you believe would be effective. Keep in mind that this testing process takes time and can be costly at the initial stages. Wishing you the best of luck with your testing endeavors.

Would you consider using influencer marketing to promote it? I’ve also created a cloud-based computer expansion program, and I’m looking for the same answer.
