Have you noticed any winning design/color trends on PH?

I'm super curious if anyone has spotted any trends connected to graphic design. Are people more likely to click and check launches that have GIFs as thumbnails? Or what colors make the icon more attractive?

Yes! What I’ve noticed mostly is that people follow the ‘Linear Design’. It comes from a SaaS called linear.app and it features a dark background with gradient colors, blurs and motion graphics. Someone compiled a list of YC apps that follows this design pattern. https://www.linears.art/

i really like this site for inspiration on web - https://onepagelove.com/ I am not sure that award winning is a way to look at it. Perhaps think about the overall messaging and see if you are communicating clearly. There are plenty of website that win awards but there is zero evidence of their conversion rates. hehe.
