Freelancers - what is the most difficult part of your job?

Let me start: it's managing my business finances. And I've been freelancing for 17 years!
Thankfully the tools we have for us freelancers have improved over the years. I currently use FreeAgent to manage my accounts and I'm in the process of transitioning most of the operational parts of the business to Notion.
What's the hardest part of your freelancing right now, and what tools are you using to manage that?

In my experience, the most difficult part about being a freelancer is client, money, competition, branding, time management, etc.

Handling everything on your own. A lot of the times, people think of freelance of just being able to “do the work”, but in reality, you have to run every aspect of your business and it can be tiring.
@isabel_hely There is just too much to do, for sure. Any particular aspect that you hate the most?
Managing personal time. Sometimes it looks like freelancers can have a lot of free time, but this is not true. As you don’t have a stable income, you have to take projects and this can ruin your personal life.
@farhan_aslam1 Tell me about it. What's taking up most of your time right now?
diversified streams of income, but you have to work to create it.
a large savings account.
income replacement insurance.
knowing where you can quickly start a part-time job to pay the bills.
@junaid_ali9 Interesting. What are you income streams at the moment?
Inconsistent work, smh...
That's why I'm building a platform that's intended to guarantee work by allowing multiple freelancers to work on posted projects, on a first come first serve basis.
Money is split down the middle, and currently only 2 freelancers max can join a project.
The audience will specifically be UI/UX designers for the launch. I'm expecting to have it done by the end of this month at the latest :)
@isaiah_trotter Sounds interesting! Do you have a landing page? Would love to check it out.
@isaiah_trotter Interesting concept. Is it live?
Scams in the industry is the toughest part.
@baishali_gulati what do you mean by this? are you talking from your experience?
