I've worked as a Product Designer for more than 15 years in companies such as Intercom or PayPal. I'm now working solo, and I miss our team design critiques. So feel free to share your landing page or product (with an account I can test ideally) here or by DM and I'll do my best to share some design feedback! Wow! I would be happy if you take a look at our extension https://manganum.app/.

Hey @yankovichv ! First, congrats, Manganum is a super cool app (I actually founded eesel.app in the past and we took inspiration from your approach from time to time). I think the app is looking great and in a really good state. Most of the feedback I have is super minor: - I love the "Unpack" onboarding. The first one in particular is super nice. I get the idea with the "peel off" on individual parts of the app and it works great to share context step by step, but it also isn't super flattering for your app because when I "unpack" the first thing I see is a bunch of blurred boxes. Would be great to make of the "unpack" the big reveal that shows your beautiful product. And there might be other ways to get the same step by step onboarding like simply revealing each part of the UI in a quick sequence. - The fact that the 2 settings buttons at the bottom right corner have the same visual treatment as the toolbar, the date and the quote (and that they even get their own "peel off" animation) puts too much emphasis on these buttons I think. It's as if they were as important as the other main features of your app. I would consider using a different visual treatment (like no blurred background) and even merging these 2 buttons into 1 single settings button. - This one is super subjective so take it with a grain of salt. I think the design with the blurred boxes on the edges of the screen is a bit too heavy. You have to blur the background a lot, probably to make the content readable on any image. But at the end, it hides a lot of the background image and it becomes very "in your face". I would love to try a design where the toolbar is not hovering the background (it's in a container on the left) and where maybe the date and the quote could even be centered, without their own blurred background but just a colour adjustment based on the background or even some strokes to make sure it's readable. Just trying to make the UI more hidden to put emphasis on the content (background image but also actual date, quote etc). - It's kind of tied to the previous point where all the boxes do look a lot like actual widgets, but I wonder if you couldn't get rid of all the individual settings for the date, weather, and quotes and move them in the general settings. Because I don't imagine people would want to change that often. Maybe asking people to configure some of those (the quotes in particular) during the onboarding would also help making it easier to "hide" those options. - This one is controversial because I know I can use the omnibar, but I heard that a lot on eesel and it doesn't cost much: It'd be great if pressing tab after having opened a new tab could put the focus on search in Manganum (especially because it looks like it's opened by default). Keep in mind that I have very little context on your product so these are just very shakey thoughts and you definitely would know better what to make of this feedback! Overall again Manganum looks great, huge congrats! I'm super impressed by the execution quality.

@zmiro, thank you for your attention, kind words, and valuable advice ๐Ÿ™. I have been a member of this community for many years, and I know that topic authors are not always ready to get involved in the discussion they have created. But I think your answer is a fantastic example of how community members can communicate ๐Ÿฅน. I was delighted to receive your feedback, like the whole Manganum team ๐Ÿค—. By the way, what is happening with eesel now? What future awaits him?

@yankovichv It's super kind of you to share that, thanks friend! I'm not too involved in eesel anymore so I'd struggle to tell you. My understanding is that my ex-cofounder is now trying to pivot more towards AI based company knowledge. I hope Manganum is doing great!
