My bachelor's degree is in Radio Engineering / Telecommunications, but I haven't worked a day in that field. But when I switched my career from sales to IT, my technical background has helped it a lot during the learning process - it was relatively easy for me to grasp the software development basics because I've spent 2 years learning how to program hardware on a transistor level, and modern programming is not that hard compared to that. Plus, my first employer in the IT field is also from a Radio Engineering field - he is in fact a PhD in signal processing ( and a product launcher here) @imanmoaz - so I guess my degree kind of helped me in building rapport with my first employer in the software field :D My master's degree is in Project Management - and we were taught PM with perspective from both the IT and the business side of things. The knowledge from the PM has helped me many times in my previous career in sales and in my early software development career, too
