Do you use one, two, or more monitors when working on your computer? And how has having an additional monitor affected your productivity and workflow?

I am an engineer turned founder, have been sitting behind screens for more than a decade. I've learned that left to right screens (especially if they are big) cause neck pain after a short while. Vertical (ie up to down) screen arrangement is much easier on the neck but then the screens are so far that you have to zoom in the content to see properly. After playing around with different configurations, I ended up settling on a single screen and alt-tab :)

oh yeah... i like the use of multiple screens but i too faced issue with neck problems initially... but the thing is keeping a good posture while you work is a continuous conscious effort that needs to be taken

@andrewcanday I use a few 24-inch monitors. I'd love to go single screen and alt-tab, but I don't think my Mac could handle it with the amount of stuff I have open

Currently, I am using three 24-inch monitors. Two of them are horizontal and one is vertical. It is always helpful to have more screen estate as a developer.

Absolute advocate for multiple monitors. However, designing your setup in a way that doesn't involve a lot of neck movement is also important.

Yes! Definitely helps with productivity and efficiency.

I've been using multiple monitors for work for a while now, and it's been a game-changer for me. Having that extra screen real estate allows me to have multiple applications and documents open simultaneously, which significantly boosts my productivity. It's especially handy when I'm working on research, coding, or content creation tasks. If you're interested in enhancing your setup, I've been exploring portable monitor options, and I found a couple of cool ones.
