Do you use any tools for planning your day?

๐ŸŒž Hello, everyone! I think it is very important to plan the day in business life. Even if there are things that come out of the blue sometimes, what are the things I should do for that day in general, and then ticking them makes me feel like I have completed that job and I feel more motivated for my next tasks. ๐ŸฃIn the past, I had a separate agenda for work and a separate agenda for personal, and I was planning my day and creating checkboxes in both. ๐Ÿค“ Right now, I'm using digital tools because the first thing I do when I wake up is to sit in front of the computer. That's why I now follow up my tasks on a digital planner and I think it really increases my motivation and productivity. ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธDo you also make a to-do list and follow up on it while working or in your daily life? If so, do you use it regularly? If you use it regularly, what motivates you?

Hello, Good morning, I love to plan everything in my life, and it's especially important for work. I've learned a helpful trick that makes me more comfortable when dealing with urgent tasks. When I plan my tasks in advance, I always allocate blocks of time for emergencies (around 30 minutes). Every night, I review my tasks for the next day. I've found several benefits from doing this. One of the best benefits is that it allows my mind to prepare for those tasks throughout the night, making me more focused and productive when it's time to tackle them. When I was young, my managers didn't use to-do lists or anything like that. But as time went on, whenever they wanted to assign me new tasks, they ask me first, "What do you have on your to-do list?" ๐Ÿ˜„

@realvladgolub Yes, of course. I have been using it since I completed my diploma in "time management" 2014.

@fayed Good morning! I absolutely love your approach of allocating blocks of time for emergencies - that's a great tip, and it's something I'll consider incorporating into my own routine. Your nightly review process sounds like a wonderful way to set yourself up for success the next day. It's interesting to hear how this practice has made you more focused and productive. It's funny how the value of to-do lists becomes more apparent over time, isn't it? Your managers asking about your to-do list shows that they respect your planning process and the importance of managing workload effectively. Thank you for sharing your insights! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I try notion now. At first it was difficult but later I understand that it's very good tool.

old-school: calendar + notebook + pen. :)

Hi there, I use CRON to plan my whole week. All my calendars are connected to this application on my laptop and smartphone. To manage my Todos, I use Notion, add priorities to tickets and start discussions with my teammates in the comments. This app is easy to use, very functional and all teammates can interact. I love the templates and the user interface. The UX is incredible, I can't use any other application. ;)

I try to stick with Notion for planning, but recently I've started to use ChatGPT for planning daily stuff, like what to cook or what to listen to today. That's why I'm working on building a web-app that gives you ONE advice per day. Not sure if you are familiar with but we had this calendars when I was a kid and on each day they included name of the day, recipe of the day, etc.
Hey, planning queen! I'm all about the digital planner life too. My to-do list is the boss of me. It's my savior when I'm feeling dazed, confused, or in a lazy daze ๐Ÿ™Œ

Google Sheets + Work folio
You can call me a bit old-school. I use To Do from Microsoft to track my work. It's kinda simple, neat, and straight to the point. And I like that. So what about you?

There's loads of tools like this. Top daily planners apps out there are: Motion, Sunsama, Akiflow - but I use Todoist right now.

Yes, creating a to-do list and following up on it can be a beneficial practice for both work and personal life. Many people find it helpful to plan their day and organize tasks using to-do lists. By doing so, they can prioritize their responsibilities and track their progress throughout the day. Using digital tools, such as a digital planner or task management apps, can be convenient, especially if you spend a significant amount of time in front of a computer. By the way, I buy such novelties on wallyhome.com. These tools allow for easy tracking, updating, and syncing of tasks across devices, providing a seamless experience. But I prefer pen and paper!

I always swore by the old school handwritten calendar/agenda. But then recently learned how to use notion and truly there is nothing better for organizing. The best part to me is that you can really customize it to make it exactly what you want.

Google Calendar and click up
I've tried so many things over the years, but honestly can't use a notebook and pen anymore :) Totally digitalized. Todoist instead of sticky notes and Calendar with specific meetings are my win-win.
